I am currently working at GDEB (General Dynamics Electric Boat) as an embedded systems software engineer II. I have worked on multiple development cycles of software combining C++ and proprietary language. I have also worked on digital signal processing implementing butterworth filters and FFTs using matlab. I have used matlab and simulink to model a system's inputs and outputs to aid in the design before writing it in C++. I have worked on a GUI using Matlab's GUIDE (graphical user interface development environment). I have also been a part of implementing industry standards and applying Azure devops to current development cycles. I have completed several white papers to justify enhancements for systems. I have helped complete cost analysis reports and project timelines.
During the summer of 2019 I was an Integrated Systems Software Engineer Intern at GDEB. I gained a lot of valuable and real world experience by working with engineers of different disciplines and backgrounds to accomplish a common goal. My main focus while I was at GDEB was testing signals and using logic to figure out if the output matched what the inputs were. I also lead a project to test a converter which taught me about linux and wireshark. I also learned about TCP and UDP protocols.
During my junior year of college I was a physics II electricity and magnatism TA. I lead a class of 20 students through 4 problems individually and would then grade them after. The problems were based off of the lectures and the recitation would help fill any gaps in their knowledge. I would have to research and make sure that I fully comprehended the questions in order to be able to teach the students.
